Gas sensing module

Gas sensing module at ppb

Figure 1

Gas sensing module with preconcentrator for improving the detection limit of sensors.

Metal-organic framework-coated preconcentrator for improving the detection limit of NIDR sensor.

Gas sensing relies on sample extraction and preparation. Increasing sensitivity and selectivity in a small gas cell unit either relies on pre-conditioning (increasing concentration) of the target gas, or the use of pre-concentrators. It has been shown that these precondition techniques can improve the detection limit of sensors to a few ppm

A preconcentrator coated with a mixture of metal-organic framework (HKUST-1) and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) can significantly improve the detection limit of NDIR sensor for methane.
